You must be at least 14 years and eight months old by the first day of class.

We deliver the most comprehensive drivers ed training using our AAA Driver Training curriculum, best-in-class instructors, and state-of-the-art instruction 2020 vehicles. In Segment 1, we cover necessary driving skills, from driving in a neighborhood to getting you on the highway. We add skits, hands-on activities, and guest speakers to keep things interesting. Our students always love the question and answer time with a local police officer. On the last day of class, we meet with parents/guardians to discuss the responsibilities of having a new teen driver in the household. Pertinent information is distributed, and the procedure for getting their teen a Michigan Driver's License is discussed.

  • 24 hours of classroom instruction
  • 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training
  • 4 hours of in-car observation

Kingdom Builders Driver Education typically holds our Segment 1 class times anywhere from 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. Class time does not include driving sessions. Driving sessions are scheduled by the student within the first three days of the class. Behind-the-wheel and observation must be completed by three weeks after the last day of class. So, in our busy months and with large classes, please keep this in mind. The scheduling for the drive times tends to be very flexible and frequently offered; however, restrictions apply. Please refer to the Segment 1 Contract or our offices for more information.

Join this enriching second half of driver education. Learn how to identify risks with a special focus on dangerous driving behaviors, such as distractions, alcohol, drugs, drowsiness, and emotions.
